Lori Kois, Office Managerhas been with Huntington Hearing since 1996 and is sure to greet you with a smile when you arrive. Having worked for several years in the nursing office at Huntington Hospital she now coordinates the logistics of our practice with responsibilities for scheduling, bookkeeping, morale, reception,

insurance matters, and more. Special distinction: Not very long ago Lori was a big winner on Wheel of Fortune. Her favorite prize was the 3-week South African safari complete with lions and tigers (and bears oh my!). The adventure was so captivating that she’d gladly, at the drop of a hat, to do it all over again.

   

Jan DeCicco, Staff Audiologist graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1991 then went on to Hofstra University to complete her Masters degree in Audiology in 1994. She interned at the University Medical Center at Stony Brook as well as at Long Island Jewish Hospital. Jan provided audiology services at the

office of a prominent otolaryngologist and has been with Huntington Hearing since 1994.

 

Bari Engelsberg-Vecchio, Audiologist,
Co-Director
earned her Bachelors degree at the Florida State University in 1990; went on to Queens College and then, at Hofstra University, completed her Masters degree with distinction. She joined the HH&SC “family” in 1993. She has been a sought after guest lecturer to audiology

students at Hofstra University and for numerous community organizations. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists and the American Academy of Audiology.

 

Seth Ofgang, Audiologist, Co-Director graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stony Brook University in 1992 then went on to Hofstra University where he graduated with distinction and earned a Masters Degree in Audiology. While at Hofstra Seth was honored with the Joan Fox Memorial Award presented by the

Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Seth interned at University Medical Center at Stony Brook and Northport Veterans Administration Medical Center. He joined Huntington Hearing in 1996. He is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He has, for the past several years, coordinated our policy of offering free hearing screenings and lectures to senior and other community groups in libraries, churches, community centers, meeting halls, and hospitals .

 

Harvey J. Gardner, Audiologist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Director Emeritus was granted his Masters degree from Brooklyn College in 1956 and his Doctorate in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the Ohio State University in 1961. He founded the Huntington Hearing & Speech Center in 1966 after having served on the faculty of Adelphi

University and as Director of Audiology and Speech Pathology at the Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital. He has published papers on the subject of high-frequency hearing loss and has co-written a software package for managing occupational hearing conservation data. He is a Past President of the Hearing Care Group, the Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Audiology Study Group of New York, and was a Vice- President of the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He is a member of numerous professional and local organizations and specializes in offering, at no charge,  informative yet entertaining talks on hearing and communication to such groups as Lions Club, Rotary Club, Hearing Loss Association of America (formerly, Self Help for the Hard of Hearing), AARP, and numerous senior citizens’ clubs throughout the Greater Huntington Area.
